Press Release Summary:

Jun 17, 2016 - It is vital during the welding of stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloy to monitor the oxygen level at the weld root to ensure non-oxidised, zero colour welds are achieved. The lifetime and accuracy of the oxygen sensor within the Weld Purge Monitor® is critical to the continuous achievement of such welds.

Replacement sensors for Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT®’s market leading PurgEye® 100 Weld Purge Monitor® are now delivered in a unique sealed package. These sensors are kept sealed in an inert environment until they are opened for use. As a result, the lifespan of each sensor is raised significantly.

The low cost PurgEye® 100 Weld Purge Monitor® is a unique IP65 rated oxygen monitor, which reads from atmospheric level, down to 100 parts per million (ppm), ensuring high quality welds are achieved repeatedly.

Luke Keane, Distributor Support for HFT® said: “The PurgEye® 100 is designed with a special sensor, which monitors the exact level of oxygen during welding. The monitor has a low sensor warning, so unlike other oxygen analysers, the user knows that their monitor is reading correctly and exactly when the sensor needs changing. Furthermore, the operators can press the auto calibration button at any time during a weld, to ensure correct readings.”

The PurgEye® 100 has a clear, easy to read LCD screen, which also shows a low battery indicator. When the monitor is not in use, an automatic sleep mode activates to conserve battery life.

The heavily updated PurgEye® 100 Weld Purge Monitor® has replaced the previous model, the MKV monitor, which many companies internationally are still using today.

Unlike the MKV, the PurgEye® 100 is designed with innovative leak-tight push buttons, auto calibration features, vacuum-sealed leak-tight probe assembly, wrist/neck strap, optional rubber housing protector and tripod mount.

The Weld Purge Monitor® was invented by HFT® in the 1970’s and with over 40 years of innovation, design and manufacturing experience, the company now has a Family of PurgEye® Weld Purge Monitors® to measure oxygen levels from atmospheric content (20.94%) down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm).

HFT® also offers a Weld Purge Monitor® exchange replacement scheme, so that companies can upgrade old, out of date models for the PurgEye® 100. HFT® really are the World Leading Weld Purging Experts!

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® have a Worldwide Exclusive Distributor network, which can be found at www.huntingdonfusion.com.
