SightLogix Training Provides ASIS, BICSI and NTS Continuing Education Credit

Recognition Helps A&E's and Security Professionals Gain Professional Certifications

Dallas, TX (October 12, 2010) - SightLogix®, the supplier of intelligent video surveillance systems for outdoor security applications, announces that participants in the SightLogix Perimeter and Area Surveillance Briefing training course are now eligible for continuing education credit from the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), the National Training School (NTS) and ASIS International. Security professionals who attend either the in-person or web-based SightLogix training can now apply continuing education credits (CECs) and/or continuing education units (CEUs) toward the various organizations' certification programs. Security professionals can register for an upcoming session at www.sightlogix.com/training-certification.html.

BICSI is a professional organization offering information, education and knowledge assessment in the information transport systems (ITS) industry, which covers the spectrum of voice, data, electronic safety and security, and audio and video technologies. BICSI has recognized the SightLogix course for 1 CEC in the following certifications: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD); Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) Specialist; ITS Installer 2 Copper/Fiber; ITS Technician; and BICSI Certified Trainer.

The National Training School, founded by the Electronic Security Association (ESA) in 1985, serves the need for standardized training in the electronic life safety, security and systems industry. The SightLogix course has been approved for 0.1 credit hour of continuing education units (CEUs).

SightLogix training may also provide students continuing education units for the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification. Students are required to review the course information to determine if the course fulfills their continuing education requirements depending on their level of certification from NICET.

Documentation of attendance at the SightLogix training program may be submitted to the ASIS International Professional Certification Board for consideration of recertification credit by qualified Certified Protection Professionals (CPPs) or Physical Security Professionals (PSPs). The SightLogix program is registered as an approved agency with ASIS for one Continuing Professional Education (CPE) unit.
