Sierra Proto Express Names Robert Zippo as National Sales Manager in Charge of Rep Network

SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA April 16: Ken Bahl, president of Sierra Proto Express--a leader in high-technology, quick-turn printed circuit boards--announced the appointment of Robert Zippo as national sales manager in charge of representatives.

Mr. Zippo, who has held management positions in the electronics industry for a number of years, assumes a unique roll of Rep Management. In this roll, he is in charge of the finding, signing and partnering with independent sales reps all over the country. He will also be responsible for the transition and assimilation of sales people from companies which Sierra Proto Express will be acquiring or rolling up in the future.

Ken Bahl commented on Mr. Zippo's appointment by saying; This is a very challenging position that we have created for Robert to assume. There are a number of things involved with managing and partnering with independent sales reps which I feel that Rob can handle for us. We feel that the future of Sierra will be based on the success of our sales force, that is why we are committed to developing a strong working relationship with all of our reps as well as the new sales people we will be gaining through our acquisitions and roll-ups. Rob is a talented and energetic young man and we are counting on him to bring this all together as we continue to build that solid sales team that will bring us successfully into the future.

Sierra Proto Express is an industry leader when it comes to developing new cutting edge technologies. Last year they developed a virtually indestructible High Reliability Lead-Free printed circuit board capable of withstanding over 2000 thermal cycles. This product is available now. Most recently, they started producing Micro Electronic rigid PCBs with 1 mil lines and spacing. With their recently launched aggressive strategy of acquisitions and roll ups as well as their continually expanding national sales team, they are now one of the industries' fastest growing PCB fabrication companies in the country with sales expected to exceed $40 million this year.
