A Regional Three-day Event Designed to Answer the Toughest Questions Facing Industry Leaders Today

ATLANTA, June 11 -- After exceeding attendance targets by more than 50 percent at its Answers for Industry (AFI) Event in Long Beach, Calif., Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. announced today that it will be hosting another event in Houston and is looking at other potential cities in which to host similar events. The event in Houston will take place at the Hilton Americas July 14-16, 2009.

These no cost events are designed for manufacturers, engineers, OEMs, integrators and end users and feature seminars, hands-on technology demonstrations, networking and best practice sharing to help attendees answer the toughest questions facing their industries today including productivity improvements, energy efficiency and flexibility on the plant floor and in the office.

In Houston, attendees will be able to customize their own agenda by choosing from more than 30 seminars given by industry experts on industrial energy management, ultra-efficient motors and drives, emissions monitoring, process safety, oil and gas industry standards, water and wastewater treatment solutions and more. Continuing education credits are also available for select seminars.

"The Answers for Industry Events are a part of Siemens ongoing effort to share its experience as a technology leader by bringing technology and solutions directly to its customers where they work and live," said Dennis Sadlowski, president and CEO, Siemens Energy & Automation. "Events like Answers for Industry provide the platform for Siemens to deliver the innovations our customers require to remain competitive in a challenging marketplace."

Throughout the three-day event, attendees will also have a chance to visit the Siemens Product Showcase, a 12,000 square foot technology exhibit where they can experience the latest in Siemens products, systems and solutions in an informal, hands-on environment. Siemens technology experts, partners, distributors and senior executives will also be on hand to discuss how they can employ Siemens solutions for their specific applications to help increase productivity, reduce costs and strengthen competitiveness.
