Shot Peening Workshop To Be Held In Singapore In February


Mishawaka, Indiana, USA - (October 28, 2008) - Electronics Inc. Education Division (EI) is conducting a shot peening workshop in Singapore on February 24 and 25, 2009. The event will be held at the Pan Pacific at 7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square. Anyone who works in the shot peening industry can benefit from this comprehensive workshop, but the program is ideal for aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities.

The workshop courses are recognized by the FAA: Mechanics qualified under FAA rules to perform inspections may receive credit for obtaining workshop Certificates of Achievement. Additionally, the flapper peening classes and exam are of special benefit to shot peening operators in the aerospace industry. Workshop topics include Peening Overview, Media Specifications, Proper Coverage and Masking, Peening Intensity Basics, Peening Applications and Equipment, The Science of Peening, Media Size and Quality Inspection Practices, Specifications and Nadcap Audits, Advanced Intensity, Residual Stress Measurement, and Flapper Peening Specifics.

The cost of the two-day workshop is 600 USD per person and includes workbook, break refreshments and lunch.
