Service Network, Inc. Expands Facilities

Grinding machine manufacturer, Service Network, Inc. has announced a major expansion to their facilities in Worcester, Massachusetts. SNI will increase their total manufacturing facilities by 50% which will enable them to dedicate assembly lines to meet increased demand for its new and remanufactured grinding machines.

SNI reported the reason for the expansion is to meet increased demand as a result of its recent product development efforts, and worldwide demand for SNI's High Production ID and OD grinders, and retrofit packages for the Heald grinding machines.

The expansion will provide a larger assembly line for SNI's newest production grinders, the SN600-I and SN600-E, and a separate line dedicated to the installation of its newest grinder controls and Hi-Rez(TM) slides, designed for retrofit on older Heald grinders. Several thousand square feet of the expansion will also be allocated to the assembly of a new concept, high performance compact grinder, slated for introduction later in 2006, along with additional engineering and customer conference areas.

Service Network, Inc. (SNI) manufactures ID and OD grinders designed for high volume manufacturing of precision components, such as bearings, automotive, aerospace, and industrial components. The company, which started 21 years ago to service grinders manufactured by the Heald Machine Company, evolved over the years from rebuilding and remanufacturing of Heald grinders, to becoming an original equipment manufacturer. SNI is the largest manufacturer of new high production internal and external grinders in the USA.
