Sensorex to Feature Calomel Free pH Electrodes, Free Chlorine and Chlorine Dioxide Sensors at Pittcon 2011

See Us At Pittcon 2011, March 13-18, Atlanta, Booth 1829

Garden Grove, CA- Attendees at Pittcon 2011 will want to stop by Exhibit Booth 1829 to learn more about Sensorex's advanced sensor technology, with demonstrations featuring the advanced Calomel Free pH Electrode, FCL Series Free Chlorine Sensor and CLD Series Chlorine Dioxide Sensor.

Calomel Free pH Electrode

The Sensorex Calomel Free pH Electrode offers the performance of calomel electrodes without the hazardous Mercury associated with other electrode designs. The "Calomel Free" green-friendly design features a Ag/AgCl based double junction reference with a unique silver ion trap acting as a third junction to impede any silver ion contact with the sample. Reference output is adjusted to deliver the same output as a Calomel electrode using a silver chloride reference.

While traditional pH electrodes have been made of all glass construction, today's thermoplastics allow pH electrodes like the Calomel Free to be constructed with durable and chemically resistant bodies to reduce breakage. The protected design of the plastic body electrode extends over the measuring surface so that the pH glass bulb is virtually unbreakable.

The Calomel Free pH electrode is available in both sealed and refillable styles. Sealed references are gel filled and maintenance free. Refillable designs allow the user to extend electrode life by refilling the reference electrolyte.

FCL Series Free Chlorine Sensor

The FCL Series Free Chlorine Sensor from Sensorex features a precise amperometric sensor that measures free chlorine in real time and is available in three different measurement ranges. The sensor's long-life design reduces maintenance cycles, which lowers lifecycle costs with less frequent sensor membrane cap/solution replacement and reduced technician installation time.

After hypochlorous acid (HOCl) diffuses through the FCL sensor's membrane, it is electrochemically reduced, releasing electrons and creating a current flow proportional to the free chlorine concentration in the medium outside the sensor. The low current output is then conditioned to a 4-20 mA direct output.

CLD Series Chlorine Dioxide Sensor

The flexible, low maintenance CLD Series Chlorine Dioxide Sensor from Sensorex is available in two measurement ranges for real-time, amperometric chlorine dioxide measurement with a 4-20 mA output. The sensor's long-life design reduces maintenance cycles, which lowers lifecycle costs with less frequent sensor membrane cap/solution replacement and reduced technician installation time. The CLD Sensor installs easily via the Sensorex FC72 flow cell with 0.25-inch FNPT threads or can be installed as a direct drop-in replacement for other ClO2 sensors.
