seepex Hosts Advanced Training Seminar

seepex Inc. values training as an integral part of our business plan to partner with a large distribution network. Between April 7th and 9th, 2014 seepex Inc. was pleased to host over one hundred salespersons from our distribution network and several seepex employees for an intensive three days of advanced progressive cavity pump (PCP) and market training. In order to participate in this event, called the seepex University Level Two Training, each trainee was required to be level one certified through seepex's online training program. Trainees were invited to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Beavercreek, OH where a large portion of the training took place.

Day one of the seminar took place bright and early at the hotel where seepex representatives welcomed trainees for registration with binders containing all the information to be covered in the training. After trainees enjoyed a light breakfast, seepex Sales Manager, David Heigl presented an introduction of what could be expected over the new couple of days and a brief review of level one PCP training, which primarily covers seepex product groups and ranges. Next, David discussed that this seminar would focus on market applications and processes to highlight the advantages of using PCPs vs. other pump types.

After lunch, trainees separated into smaller groups for the first of six breakout sessions, or classes, which were taught by seepex Inc. veterans and market experts. Prior to the seminar, trainees had the opportunity to choose which breakout sessions would be the most beneficial and interesting to them. Their choices included: Food/Personal Care Products, Environmental, Oil Gas Production, Chemical/Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Configurator Program, Product Maintenance, and Control Systems. According to their selections, their breakout session schedule was produced and included in the binders received at registration. During the breakout session, special focus was also paid to discussing the concepts of bookend and paradigm selling in the various market seepex serves.

Day two of training took place at seepex Inc. where tours of the facilities and more breakout sessions took place. That evening back at the hotel, trainees were treated to a dinner buffet and conclusion ceremonies. Level two graduates received an official certificate of training as well a seepex rotor and stator hand model to use as a sales tool.

Trainees finished up their last breakout sessions the next morning and were released into the world to spread their newly gained knowledge. The feedback received from our guests was tremendously insightful and although this seminar was the first of its kind in over four years, seepex is already thinking about hosting more training gatherings in the near future.
