SeaHunter Boats' Manufacturing Facility Expansion Plans Unveiled

Facility's ground-breaking technology will set new industry standard

Miami, Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- South Florida based CAMCON Group, along with SeaHunter Boats, today announced plans for SeaHunter's expansion of their existing facility in Southern Miami-Dade County from 46,000 to over 134,000 square feet. CAMCON Group has been retained by SeaHunter Boats to design and build its new facility in southern Miami-Dade County which is scheduled to break ground Fall of 2019.

SeaHunter Boats' state-of-the-art facility will house manufacturing, assembly, and office space plus a new show room.  The project includes the addition of a pre-engineered steel structure building capable of withstanding a Category 5 hurricane. Within this building there will be a fully integrated overhead hoist system with compressed air systems, vacuums and assembly stations designed to incorporate the custom products SeaHunter's clients request.

The expansion also includes a welding shop for all in-house metal work, and a Research & Development area complete with a state of the art 5-axis CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine to ensure precision and superior quality for all new boat models and parts developed by SeaHunter's internal engineering team. The new facility will allow SeaHunter to approximately double their manufacturing capabilities and generate 75 additional jobs in the community.

"Due to SeaHunter's loyal and growing customer base, we have reached a point where expansion is necessary to meet increasing demand," shared Ralph Montalvo, SeaHunter Boats' President. "Our team at SeaHunter is thrilled CAMCON Group, a proven and trusted builder in our community, is managing the entire design and construction process so we can focus on what we do best: building and delivering world-class offshore fishing boats."

"CAMCON Group is honored to have the opportunity to manage SeaHunter Boats' manufacturing facility expansion, a project which will set a new standard in the boat manufacturing world," stated Carlos de Mena, CAMCON Group President. "CAMCON Group's internal design team has been working with SeaHunter Boats to design and build a cost-effective and efficient facility that incorporates the latest technology and building systems, such as overhead hoisting systems, to meet their current and future needs."
