Scapa Group to Support The Christie Charity for Three Years
Scapa Group Plc(LDN: SCPA.L), a bonding products and adhesive components manufacturer, has entered a new three year partnership with The Christie Charity, to raise money for The Christie - one of Europe's leading cancer centres.
As a provider of skin friendly solutions to leading global medical OEM's, Scapa is a keen supporter of the advancement of medical treatment and technology. Also, Scapa's headquarters in Greater Manchester are in close proximity to the cancer centre. Scapa's CEO Heejae Chae commented "Partnering with such a great cause as The Christie will I hope, help us to put something back into the community in which we are based, as well as providing opportunities for us to work together on raising money."
Scapa will organise a range of activities to raise funds for The Christie. The programme kicked off with the company's medical team climbing Loch Lomond in March. The team successfully reached the top after a challenging six hour climb and raised £3,500.
On the 15th of May, a Scapa employee team, headed by Heejae Chae, will take part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run. The event is one of the largest and most prestigious mass participation runs in the UK.
Scapa will organise a variety of events over the next three years.
