Save the Date: Advanced Chemical's John Venditti Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament Set for September 20
Advanced Chemical announces that the fourth annual John Venditti Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held on September 20, 2014. Proceeds from the event go to the GFV (GianFranco Venditti) fund, which donates to the American Heart Association and to scholarships for promising athletes with strong academic credentials.
John Venditti was vice president of sales at Advanced Chemical from 1992 until his sudden passing in 2010 from undiagnosed arteriosclerosis. He was a valued employee as well as a devoted family man and avid golfer. The tournament honors him by supporting heart health and promising scholar-athletes.
“This tournament and the GFV fund embody everything we loved about John, including his energy, generosity, and passion,” said Advanced Chemical President/COO Gerald A. Smith III. “This event is a tribute to John’s honest spirit, compassion, and sincerity.”
The tournament will be held at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island, and opens with lunch and registration at 11:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Golfers can register individually or as a foursome, and dinner-only tickets are available.
