Sale New ETC XD HyperBaric Chamber

Southampton, PA., August 30, 2006. Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced that the WOUND HEALING CENTER at suburban Philadelphia's Bryn Mawr Hospital is now operating ETC BioMedical's new BARA-MED XD hyperbaric chamber to support the critical healing of chronic wounds. This latest model features greater internal patient space and uses BARAPRESS", the ETC advanced design computer control system with a touch screen interface. The system was developed, from the outset, by ETC to optimize patient comfort, safety and operational efficiency. According to Sharon Hannum, program director of the Hospital's Wound Healing Center, "ETC's Windows-based computerized program and technical innovations like automatic printing and computer storage of treatment records helps me run a more efficient HBO unit."

It is estimated that 5-7 million Americans suffer from chronic wounds. This figure is predicted to increase as the population ages and as the incidences of underlying causes, such as diabetes, increase. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is one type of treatment that can fight this problem and the high technology of BARAPRESS" allows operators to focus their attention on the patient rather than on managing the equipment or record keeping.

This recent delivery continues the strong working relationship between ETC BioMedical Systems Group and Bryn Mawr Hospital which began when the Wound Healing Center opened two years ago. The hospital is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. With 307 beds, it is part of the Main Line Health network.
