Saint-Gobain Seals' Kontich Production Site Featured on the European Business Journal Website, Highlighting Their OmniSeal® Spring-Energized Seals

GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA — Saint-Gobain Seals has been featured on the European Business Journal website; it will also be published in their magazine in the next few months.  The article, titled "Sealing the market," focused on their production site in Kontich, Belgium, in which Geert Vanthienen, Product manager - Sealing solutions, Europe (based at this site), was interviewed.  In the interview, the Seals' custom design and manufacture of innovative sealing and polymer solutions were highlighted, particularly their OmniSeal® spring-energized seals, which are a popular choice in the Oil Gas industry due to their proven extreme reliability and durability and ability to work in offshore, onshore and subsea environments.  This market is vital to the company as they are experiencing a high growth rate as customers and leaders in this industry seek new sources of sealing and polymer products offshore and in deeper waters.

Mr. Vanthienen stated, "It was a great opportunity to be interviewed by European Business Journal.  Our OmniSeal® product line has been used in other industries such as aerospace, life sciences, automotive and industrial; however, in Kontich, we are focusing on the Oil & Gas industry. Due to many years of experience and close cooperation with customers, we have become a market leader in the oil and gas segment in terms of high-performance seals. Extreme temperatures and highly demanding conditions create a demand for specific materials that we are able to supply. In order to meet the future market needs, we rely on our strong R&D and Engineering departments. This investment has resulted in being the top 100 most innovative companies, and about 45% of our sales consist of newly developed products."
