Sage to Host High-Level Roundtable Conference 'Accelerate Out of the Downturn' in Dubai

IDC to discuss recession's impact on large and midsize companies, recovery expectations and survival tips

Sage Software, the leading global supplier of ERP, CRM and HRM solutions to medium and large organizations, will host 'Accelerate Out of the Downturn', a high-level roundtable for regional business owners, MDs and CEOs from companies from various industries, on September 28, 2010 at the Amwaj Rotana Hotel in Dubai. The event, which is being held in collaboration with IDC, a leading global market intelligence firm, will focus on the recession's impact on large and midsize companies and recovery expectations for the coming year in the Middle East, specifically in the UAE. IDC will also present its top tips for CIOs to survive the downturn and turn challenges into opportunities.

During the event, a group of senior industry experts from different vertical industries are scheduled to talk about their experiences, the state of their business during the recession and what they are doing to deal with the challenges. In addition, there will be an expert panel of industry leaders who will share their learnings within their organizations during the downturn, with aims of giving participants practical solutions for real issues within the Middle East.

"It is important for companies who want to remain competitive to leverage this period of opportunity to gain a significant edge over other players in their market," said Vikram Suri, Managing Director, Sage Software Middle East. "Through this high-impact networking event, we aim to give companies a critical look at how they can leverage change in trends and new technologies to weather the crisis and adapt to the ever-changing market. By helping companies boost cost efficiency and adapt to the new reality, they will be strategically positioned to take advantage of the impending upturn."

After witnessing a rapid transformation over the last couple of years, Sage Software now holds over 30 per cent of the total UAE market share, and has emerged as a global market leader in the field of business management software and services. Backed by a 13,000 strong workforce, the company offers highly customisable ERP, CRM and HRM solutions that easily adopt a company's local requirements and solve business challenges. With focus on helping regional companies improve the services they provide to clients while leveraging customer contact information for targeted marketing, the event will also highlight the global CRM perspective and how CRM is becoming a norm and an important pillar of success for future business.

"Planning for growth prospects should start way before the recession is officially declared as over. This event provides a venue for senior executives from various industries to share their knowledge and experiences so that everyone can take a tactical vantage point when growth opportunities start emerging. We are optimistic of the success of this event, given the regional market's intense focus on undertaking creating solutions that will revitalise the market and pave the way for full recovery," concluded Suri.
