Rubix Strategies CEO Joins the Maker Innovation Lab Advisory Board
Lawrence, MA, July 31, 2017: Today we are happy to announce a new partnership forging with a local innovation lab. For STEM outreach, Reginald Swift (Rubix Strategies CEO) joins the advisory board of local Lawrence based innovation studio, The Maker Innovation Lab. The Maker Innovation Lab Lawrence is an economic project based on community development which supports the region’s next generation of manufacturers of multidisciplinary experiences in areas such as a printing / 3D/ Robotics lab, a transportation design hub, etc. The project encourages a community of minority entrepreneurs (ages 18+) to develop products, create prototype, or launch businesses in an affordable, supportive environment.
Rubix Strategies serves as a support in that journey, creating a progenitive ground for research, design, prototyping and development for the rising companies and startups.
“To be able to facilitate teaching about basic and advanced methodologies to inspire imagination is truly a worthwhile pleasure. To be able to focus a STEM building center in the city of Lawrence will start shining a light on the communities of color and tying it into the STEM field directly.” Says Reginald
The endeavor, led by Jennifer Hilton, created this non-profit entity as she was wholly aware of the hindrances that can take place within communities of color. In an effort to build the knowledge toolbox for the next generation, she made it a mission to develop a concept that will be able to engage the community to enhance STEM skills to build a pipeline for the future.
With this announcement, we believe that STEM can be greatly supported, not only by the MILL members and Rubix Strategies, but by the general community. STEM, as a curriculum supporting the idea of education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, is quite important for all of us. While supporting STEM, we support continuous growth and better future for us and our children.
