Rubbermaid Commercial Products Announces Settlement with M&M Plastics, Inc.


WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA, February 24, 2006 -- Rubbermaid Commercial Products, an international leader of design and innovation in commercial products for facilities maintenance, material transport and foodservice industries, today announced that M&M Plastics, Inc. of Miami has requested a settlement of Rubbermaid's patent infringement lawsuit against M&M.

Under the terms of the settlement, M&M will cease selling the products which were at issue in the lawsuit, including commercial material transport systems, and has agreed to pay Rubbermaid an undisclosed royalty for previous sales of certain M&M commercial material transport products.

"We are pleased with the conclusion of this matter, which is one of numerous actions initiated by Rubbermaid against companies who infringe our patents" said Bob Kibbe, Vice President of Rubbermaid Commercial Products. "Rubbermaid will continue its program of vigorous enforcement of its intellectual property rights, and actively pursue those who illegally use our technology and designs."
