RPM International Inc. Recognized with Prestigious IR Magazine Award
RPM wins Best Annual Report Award for its 2006 Annual Report
CLEVELAND, March 30, 2007 -- RPM International Inc. was a winner at the IR Magazine US Awards taking home the award for "Best Annual Report" in the small- to mid-cap category for its 2006 RPM International Inc. Annual Report, Expectations. The RPM Annual Report beat out reports from other finalists Baldor Electric Company, Copart and Fastenal. Roop & Co., RPM's agency of record, oversaw the design, content and execution of the annual report.
The award ceremony was held in New York on March 29, 2007. P. Kelly Tompkins, RPM executive vice president and chief administrative officer, accepted the award on behalf of RPM.
The IR Magazine US Awards are the definitive measure of investor relations performance in the United States. Nearly 2,000 investment professionals selected the award winners through IR Magazine's annual survey that concentrates on all components of investor relations, including annual reports, IR officers, communications, and overall investor relations practices. There were more than 1,600 companies nominated in 19 categories.
"The RPM annual used plain talk to communicate where the company has been and where it is going," said a survey respondent. "The CEO didn't try to hide the company's problems but explained what they were and how he was dealing with them."
Other annual report winners were Expediters International (mid- to large- cap category) and Berkshire Hathaway (large- to mega-cap category).
