Roxtec Displays Innovative Cable and Wire Sealing Solutions for Military Vehicles and Equipment at Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting

Roxtec recently displayed their innovative cable and pipe sealing solutions for military vehicles and equipment at the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting that was held in October 2012 in Washington DC. Vehicle builders and maintenance managers learned how they can better standardize all cable & wires in each piece of equipment with Roxtec cable and pipe transits.

Roxtec "Compact Seals" and "Compact Frames" provide protection against water, dust, insects and rodents for equipment in cabinets and enclosures. All frames, except for the C KFO frame, have integrated compression units. C frames are used together with standard Roxtec CM modules, 30 millimeter (1.181") deep, except EMC versions which use 40 mm (1.575") deep CM ES or CM PE modules.

Roxtec seals are developed to cover the cable configuration needs of light and heavy trucks, vans, MRAP vehicles and other military equipment. A few key features of the Roxtec system include: one standard solution for all vehicle variants, built-in spare capacity for future expansion and no decibel (dB) loss association with connectors.

Roxtec CF 16 cable seal is often used in the walls of military cabs to help save space, keep down weight and save fuel. In addition, equipment manufacturers and maintenance personnel can easily upgrade in the field without extra parts or tools.

The USA military has successfully used Roxtec's S frames (top) and R frames (bottom) on rooftops of a variety of vehicles for antenna coax cables to aid in the reduction of signal loss.
