Rockwell Automation to Showcase Digital Oilfield Solutions at 2017 Offshore Technology Conference

Digital technology designed to help oil and gas producers maximize operations performance, reduce downtime and optimize production

MILWAUKEE, April 24, 2017 - Rockwell Automation will showcase the latest in digital automation technology at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, May 1 to 4. This technology helps create an intelligent automation ecosystem that provides actionable information for producers looking to fully reap the benefits of a digital oilfield.

Over the next decade, the oil and gas industry could generate nearly $1.1 trillion from cost savings and operational efficiencies gained through digitization efforts according to recent Cisco research.

“By connecting all production equipment, devices and systems, oil and gas producers can transform data into useful operational intelligence,” said Luis Gamboa, market development manager, Rockwell Automation. “This can result in higher production rates, reduced operating costs and improved resource recovery.”

Visitors to the Rockwell Automation booth (NRG Center, Booth 847) will also learn about the latest control and safety solutions for subsea and topside, including emergency shutdown and blowout prevention.

Specialists from Rockwell Automation will be on hand to demonstrate the latest technology, the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755T variable speed drive, which helps oil and gas producers control motors for efficient and safe operation.
