Robert Robinson, Sr. Receives 2010 ISSA YES Award


Hamilton, OH - October, 11 2010 - Robert Robinson, Sr., founder of Kaivac, Inc., developers of the No-Touch Cleaning® System, is the recipient of the 2010 ISSA Young Executives Society (YES) Industry Special Achievement award.

The award is given out at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America trade show, which is being held this year in Orlando November 9-12, 2010.

The YES award recognizes individuals or companies that have made significant contributions to the professional cleaning industry, ISSA, and YES.

According to Lori Zarling, ISSA staff liaison for the YES organization, Robinson is being honored because he developed the Kaivac No-Touch Cleaning System, "which is seen as a revolutionary product; his help in promoting healthy cleaning programs; his work getting the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI) started; his support of ISSA through his service on the Board of Directors; and his strong support of the YES organization."

The YES organization, which is dedicated to "developing young professionals today," is designed to provide leadership and networking opportunities for executives in the professional cleaning industry under the age of 45.

The award was established in 1988 and has honored several notable industry leaders. Some of the recent honorees include:

o Grant Watkins, formerly with Coastwide Laboratories

o Stephen H. Swigart, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Spartan Chemical Company, Inc.

o Kevin Ervin, vice president of sales and marketing for DEE Janitorial Supply, Inc.
"The YES [organization] has made a major contribution to our industry," says Robinson. "It has helped promote the values and leadership skills that have helped our industry grow and become stronger. I am deeply honored to receive this award."
