C6D family of devices enable industry-leading efficiency and power density 

February 17, 2020 – Geneva, Ill.: Richardson RFPD, Inc., an Arrow Electronics company, announced today the availability and full design support capabilities for the 6th generation family of SiC Schottky diodes from Wolfspeed, a Cree Company.

The C6D family of 650 V SiC Schottky diodes is based on Wolfspeed’s innovative, robust and reliable 150 mm SiC wafer technology. The latest C6D technology offers low forward voltage drop (VF = 1.27 V @ 25°C) that has a significant impact on the reduction of conduction losses. This further enables high system level efficiency and power density in the most demanding power conversion applications, including power factor correction (PFC) and high-voltage DC/DC converters.
