2008 Robotics Industry Directory Now Available

ANN ARBOR, Michigan (March 6, 2008) - Only one printed directory specializes in robot suppliers, integrators and consultants, and the 2008 edition of the Robotics Industry Directory is now available. More than 200 members of Robotic Industries Association are listed in the new Directory, which is available free in North America (contact RIA headquarters at 734/994-6088 or online at www.roboticsonline.com).

"As the whole world can see, a listing in this member's-only book is testimony to the expertise and commitment each company has when it comes to robotics technology," said RIA President, Richard O. Litt. "Only companies that invest in RIA membership are listed. Many of these companies are active in committees and other work the Association does. This Directory is a great resource for customers looking for qualified robotics vendors."

New this year is a "Who's Who" listing of Platinum level supplier and integrator members.

"Platinum is the most elite level of membership in Robotic Industries Association," explained Litt. "This is the first year we have publicly honored these members, an idea that sprouted from RIA's Membership Committee. A 'Who's Who' listing in the Directory is one more way for RIA to give back to the industry."

Another first for the Directory is a "how to" article on the "Top 10 Robotics Application Mistakes." The article addresses how to select the right type of robot and how to avoid mistakes when deploying robots.

No other directory has a "User's Guide to Robot Systems Integrators" like the one published in this book, according to Litt who is the founder of Platinum Integrator Member Genesis Systems Group. "Robotic Industries Association is the only North American trade association that provides benefits specifically for robotics integrators," said Litt, "and this Directory is a powerful way for our integrator members to get the word out about their companies."

He also notes that no other publication is as revealing about corporate activity in the industry. Each company profile in the Robotics Industry Directory includes unique details about participation in RIA events such as safety conferences, the annual Robotics Industry Forum and the biennial International Robots & Vision Show, explained Litt.

For expanded coverage on RIA members, there is the Robotics Online Buyer's Guide, with additional product information and a Request for Bid service. There is an "Integrator Finder," a "Supplier Finder," a "Consultant Finder," and a "Product Finder" to make searching easy. The Buyer's Guide is available at www.roboticsonline.com.

More than 150,000 visitors per month come to Robotics Online for updates on news, products, feature articles, events, case studies, technical papers and access to "Ask the Experts." It also provides the industry's leading jobs board with a free resume listing service and member discounts on job postings.
