ASTM International Standards on Renewable Energy Available in Online Subscription



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., —A new subscription-based online collection available from ASTM International provides 163 of the latest ASTM renewable energy standards, all of which play a pre-eminent role in the conversion of solar and geothermal renewable energy to directly usable energy forms.



Topics covered in ASTM Standards on Renewable Energy include heating of domestic hot water; active and passive space heating and cooling; process heating; thermal conversion power generation; photovoltaic generation of electricity; advanced energy conversion, including wind energy; and more. The compilation also includes four key ASTM standards:

ASTM E424, Test Methods for Solar Energy Transmittance and Reflectance (Terrestrial) of Sheet Materials;

ASTM E927, Specification for Solar Simulation for Photovoltaic Testing;

ASTM E1036, Test Methods for Electrical Performance of Nonconcentrator Terrestrial Photovoltaic Modules and Arrays Using Reference Cells; and
