Remtec Achieves 20% Growth In 2018, Expands Facilities, Adds Personnel and Equipment to Improve Overall Productivity

Norwood, MA. April 8, 2019. Remtec Inc. (www.remtec.com) the leading manufacturer of ceramic substrates, packages and submounts using PCTF® (Plated Copper on Thick Film) metallization, has increased sales 20% in 2018. This marks the second consecutive year of double-digit growth. Remtec hired new personnel in all departments including sales, production, quality assurance and engineering departments. In addition, Remtec has purchased new equipment in the photo imaging and etching facility, in the screen- printing area, and added several new electro plating lines.

Acknowledging the need to expand, Remtec President Nahum Rapoport commented, “Our customer base continues to grow, and we are accommodating that growth and beyond to best support our customers, improved productivity and capabilities in all departments and engineering disciplines”. To support these improvements, Remtec has added personnel and 4000 sq. ft. to its facilities to accommodate future growth and improve overall productivity.

For example, the shipping and receiving departments have been expanded and relocated for greater efficiency. The quality assurance department has been relocated and two new QA Technicians have been added. For greater sales support, a new sales manager and an inside customer support member have been hired. A new key engineer has also been added to the Engineering Department. Remtec’s ISO certification has been updated to the ISO 2015 standard which will permit Remtec to provide customers with a higher degree of quality assurance in demanding applications and challenging new markets.

Remtec, a RoHS compliant, ISO 9001:2015 registered and ITAR compliant company, operates manufacturing facilities (totaling 37,000 sq. ft.) in Norwood, MA.
