Ran-Tech Expands Capacity and Capability
Ran-Tech continues to grow - In December we added the HAAS UMC750 5 axis CNC mill to our arsenal of advanced manufacturing equipment. The UMC750 was shredding 7075 Aluminum plate and achieving a near mirror finish within a day of its setup. The thin wall aerospace parts were full 5 axis machined in 1/3 the previous time with a much higher precision.

Ran-Tech Engineering Aerospace is an Oregon Corporation founded in 1988 in Hillsboro, Oregon. In December 2002 Ran-Tech was acquired by William(Bill) and Susan Cannard. By immediately establishing a culture focused on quality and delivery performance the business grew and was relocated to a larger facility in Milwaukie, Oregon. In 2004, and in partnership with Bill and Susan, Jason Ball integrated his machining business, Ball Machine and Fabrication into Ran-Tech Engineering and Aerospace. Ran-Tech is a business built on Lean Principals and continues to practice 5s, Visual Workplace, and Kaizen as part of its corporate personality. With continuing emphasis on engineered solutions, utilizing the latest technologies, in both sheet metal and machining processes, as the backbone of world class quality and delivery performance, the business continued to grow. The Milwaukie facility now occupies 25,000 square feet across three buildings in a modern well equipped industrial park. In 2011 and 2012 Ran-Tech was presented the Supplier Performance Excellence Award from Boeing for having superior performance for a period of one or more years. Ran-Tech’s growth has come solely through its superb performance in both quality and delivery in addition to offering best-value pricing.
