Ramtech Uses Permanent Modular Construction to Meet Three Unique Facility Needs

Design-build commercial modular building firm Ramtech Building Systems of Mansfield, Texas has announced that the company has completed a 1,904 square foot employee lounge and office, the last of three permanent modular buildings the company built for the North Texas Division of Waste Management of Texas, Inc. All three facilities utilized Ramtech's pier and beam permanent modular construction, one of two approaches the company uses when developing small to large scale permanent structures for its clients.

MANSFIELD, TEXAS (PRWEB) AUGUST 27, 2018 - Design-build commercial modular building firm Ramtech Building Systems of Mansfield, Texas has announced that the company has completed a 1,904 square foot employee break room with offices, the last of three permanent modular buildings the company constructed at two sites for the North Texas Division of Waste Management of Texas, Inc. Beginning in 2017, Ramtech first completed a 9,016 square foot office and dispatch facility at the company's CNG facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Ramtech then mobilized to build a 952 square foot scale house at the entrance to the DFW Landfill disposal location in Lewisville, Texas where the third project also took place. The new building provides space for a large break room that accommodates kitchen appliances and vending machines, a men's and women's locker room with shower stalls, and private offices.

Each facility was constructed using Ramtech's traditional pier and beam permanent modular construction approach. This building method can provide for a grade level appearance identical to a site-built structure while minimizing the amount of work that has to take place on the construction site. Ramtech's PMC process utilizes simultaneous construction tracts where the modular building is manufactured at the same time that the required site development and improvements are also being performed. When the site work is completed, the individual modules are trucked to the location and set onto a pier and beam foundation where they are quickly weathered-in allowing the interior and exterior finish-out to take place. All three of the facilities were manufactured using Type V wood-framed construction, with the buildings at the Lewisville location having full brick masonry exteriors while the Fort Worth location utilized an EIFS siding. The interiors of each location incorporated textured and painted walls and Gyp-Crete underlayment with ceramic tile flooring in Waste Management's corporate color scheme.
