Quickfilter QF1Da512 Chip Implements All Audio Processing on New SIRIUS XM TTR1 Table-Top Internet Radio

ALLEN, TX - Quickfilter Technologies today announced that its WideAudio(TM) technology has been selected by SIRIUS XM Radio for use in its new table-top Internet radio, the TTR1.
WideAudio technology enables stereo widening (spatialization), along with two channels of audio equalization and is implemented in the QF1Da512 Audio SavFIRe chip. In smaller-sized stereo products such as the TTR1, speakers are very close together, minimizing the listener's ability to hear good stereo separation. The Quickfilter WideAudio(TM) technology provides the developer with a psycho-acoustic effect that gives the listener the sensation that the speakers are much farther apart. This effect greatly enhances the overall stereo listening experience. The audio equalization feature of WideAudio flattens the speaker response and enables the user to listen to music exactly as it was recorded. Options are also included to allow the designer to "color" the response, controlling bass, midrange, and treble in virtually infinite combinations.
The SIRIUS XM TTR1 is a stylish and convenient way to bring SIRIUS XM's Premium Online content to the home or office using a wired or wireless high-speed Internet connection. The full-featured TTR1 is easy to set up and use, offering a complete listening solution for subscribers who want to use their high-speed Internet connection to access SIRIUS XM's online channels without the need for a computer.

The QF1Da512 Audio SavFIRe chip is available now in production quantities. The QF1Da512 Audio SavFIRe chip costs less than 75 cents in volume, comes packaged in a 3x3mm QFN and consumes only 2.8mW of power, which provides the user with a clear price-performance advantage. Its associated development kit, the QF1Da512-DK, is also available now for purchase at DigiKey and Mouser.
