Quaker Chemical Receives Responsible Care® Certification
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., March 22, 2017 - Quaker Chemical Corporation (NYSE: KWR, "Quaker") has been officially certified for the RC14001:2015 standard of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care® initiative. This certification challenges organizations to demonstrate a commitment to improving their safety, health and environmental (SH&E) and security performance. Quaker is only the second ACC member company in the U.S. to be awarded a 2015 version of the certification.
The five facilities that have been certified are located in:
- Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
- Middletown, Ohio
- Detroit, Michigan
- Santa Fe Springs, California (EPMAR)
- Batavia, New York (Summit Lubricants)
Together these locations employ more than 350 associates involved in producing process fluids and chemical specialties that support the steel, metalworking, aerospace, and coatings industries.

North America is the first region to have Responsible Care® certification, and Quaker will look to expand to other regions in the coming years.
All of Quaker's main manufacturing sites around the globe are ISO14001 certified, and many of its main manufacturing sites outside of North America are OHSAS18001 certified. The addition of the RC14001 certification enhances Quaker's current efforts to enhance safety, and is a significant step in achieving its Corporate Social Responsibility goals.
