ProTek Devices Intros Overcurrent Protection PPTC Thermistors


TEMPE, Ariz., -- ProTek Devices has added to its family of overcurrent protection devices with new surface-mountable poly-switch temperature coefficient thermistor (PPTC) devices that include the company's first resettable PPTC thermistors.



They include the PMPS150-1812; PMPS150E-1206; PMPS200-1812; PMPS200D-1210; PMPS260C-1812; and PMPS380E-1206. Two series are also being introduced: the PLRO1206 and the PLRO1210, which are resettable SMD PPTCs. All parts are designed for overcurrent protection.



The PMPS150-1812 features 1.50 amps maximum holding current, 3.00 amps minimum trip current and 24 volts maximum interrupt voltage. The PMPS150E-1206 has 1.50 amps maximum holding current, 3.00 amps minimum trip current and 8 volts maximum interrupt voltage. The PMPS200-1812 has 2.00 amps maximum holding current, 3.50 amps minimum trip current and 8 volts maximum interrupt voltage. The PMPS200D-1210 has 2.00 amps maximum holding current, 4.00 amps minimum trip current and 6 volts maximum interrupt voltage. The PMPS260C-1812 features 2.60 amps maximum holding current, 5.00 amps minimum trip current and 8 volts max interrupt voltage. The PMPS380E-1206 features 3.80 amps maximum holding current, 7.60 amps minimum trip current and 6 volts maximum interrupt voltage.



The PLRO1206 and PLRO1210 provide very low resistance, high current ratings and fast times to trip. The PLRO1206 series consists of the PLRO1206-300 and PLRO1206-380. The PLRO1206-300 features 3.0 amps holding current and 6.0 amps trip current. The PLRO1206-380 features 3.0 amps holding current and 8.0 amps trip current. The PLRO1210 series consists of the PLRO1210-190, PLR1210-300 and PLRO1210-380. The PLRO1210-190 features 1.9 amps current holding and 4.9 amps trip current. The PLR1210-300 features 3.0 amps holding current and 8.0 amps trip current. The PLRO1210-380 features 3.8 amps holding current and 9.0 amps trip current.
