Process Equipment Manufacturer Expands Facility
Rochester, NY – PKG Equipment Incorporated has increased its process equipment manufacturing facility to meet the demands of their growing business of custom metal and plastic fabrication of process tanks, industrial ventilation, metal finishing systems, and waste treatment equipment. The company has added 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space to its 35,000 square foot facility in Rochester, NY. The plastic fabricating department has moved into the new addition which includes a 40' x 160' high bay space with a crane capacity of 15 tons. Metal fabrication and electrical work has expanded into the space that was occupied by the plastic fabricating department.
Carla Pontarelli, Chief Operating Officer, notes significant growth in projects involving automated systems that require more in-house engineering and fabrication capacity. "Our sales have more than doubled since 2010, and we had reached maximum capacity in our facility. Many of our projects are physically larger and more complex than they used be. This additional space allows us to operate more efficiently and take on larger projects for continued growth."
The company received the certificate of occupancy for the addition in January and is in the process of moving equipment into the new space.
