Launched in 2003, PRIMAAX quickly earned the trust of vocational truckers in a variety of applications from dump trucks to heavy-haul tractors from truck-mounted cranes to logging trucks. International offers PRIMAAX 46,000-pound capacity (PAX 460) and PRIMAAX 23,000-pound capacity (PAX 230) suspensions on all PayStar and WorkStar series trucks With a significant number of trucks built today with specialized equipment susceptible to damage from prolonged exposure to vibration and road inputs, the smooth air-ride of PRIMAAX proves especially beneficial.
Heavy-duty forged support beams, premium outboard mounted torque rods and a highly engineered cross brace combine to deliver greater rollstiffness as compared to other rear air-ride suspensions.
PRIMAAX features large volume air springs and premium, heavy-duty shock absorbers for outstanding handling characteristics that can provide the driver with greater control during lane changes, highway ramp operation and tight road maneuvers.
Delivering up to 12 inches of diagonal articulation and eight inches ofaxle travel, PRIMAAX helps improve traction and provide greater off-road mobility, while up to 10.75 inches of ground clearance enhances maneuverability over rough terrain.
PRIMAAX provides numerous maintenance saving features such as premium rubber bushings, which eliminate lubrication requirements.
Hendrickson's unique QUIK-ALIGN system simplifies axle alignment without welding or drop-in shims. Hendrickson premium torque rods feature bonded rubber bushings for longer service life, and the outboard mounted longitudinal rods improve serviceability.
