President Had to Say This Week About Past Success and Future Plans

This is a timely moment to reflect briefly on last year’s achievements and to look forward to plans for 2020.

There were some significant successes during 2019 that were the result of much hard work and that rightly consolidated our good reputation in a number of key markets.

We commissioned a special, high temperature (1700°C/3100°F) tunnel kiln for technical ceramics in the USA, supplying a superior level performance system that has resulted in a highly satisfied customer. Strong customer satisfaction has also followed another ceramic installation – this time for a 120 metre-long state-of-the-art tunnel kiln for firing top quality sanitaryware (1250°C/2280°F) for a world-leading producer.

Our Metals business unit was no less busy and we’re very proud of a new system comprising two large rotary furnaces with robotic loading and unloading for the T6 solution and aging process for a manufacturer of aluminum motor heads. Also important for us, we continue our manufacture of continuous galvanizing lines for our European partners who incorporate them into equipment to be installed in North America.

I’m sure there will be challenges in 2020, not least in parts of the global economy, but here at Nutec Bickley we remain optimistic about our markets. As always, we will push hard for better market share. We will be more active in Europe and Asia, while strengthening our already strong position in North and Central America.

Ultimately, we recognize that achieving these objectives will depend enormously on pursuing our customer satisfaction objectives with even more vigour. I mentioned in our last e-bulletin our mission statement, ‘To delight our customers with equipment performance, quality, execution and service’ and these are not merely words.

We have robust strategies in place that will enhance Nutec Bickley performance across the board, to the ultimate advantage of all our customers. We aim to grow, of course, but to do so sustainably and responsibly, in close partnership with all these forward-looking manufacturers. I wish them every success at this start of a new, exciting decade.
