President Bush Visits Mitsubishi Laser Facility, Addresses Small Businesses in the U.S. Economy

Wood Dale, IL - President Bush visited Mitsubishi Laser customer, Fox Valley Metal-Tech (Green Bay, WI) last month to address the nation on the small business sector of our economy, and its vitality to economic growth.

The President explained the importance of cutting taxes on small businesses. If income taxes are cut for small businesses, he explains, it gives them more money to invest in new equipment to become more productive.

For example, Fox Valley Metal-Tech was one of the first companies in the country to install Mitsubishi's River Navigation System, one of the largest laser FMS systems in the U.S. The installation controls material flow with its 91 shelves, lengthening unattended operations.

The President continued, "By cutting taxes on small businesses, it encourages small businesses to grow." He added that John West, President of Fox Valley Metal-Tech, was able to hire five new people in just three weeks, and would continue to hire more workers.

"John West continues to make decisions and purchases that keeps his company evolving and growing successfully," comments Bill Isaac, VP of Sales for Mitsubishi Laser. "It is an honor to be partners with a company that understands how critical having the right technology is to a business."

Since introducing the first laser in 1987, Mitsubishi Laser has occupied dominant positions in engineering, electronics, manufacturing and product development.
