Premier Tech Now in South America
RIVIÈRE-DU-LOUP, QC, – Premier Tech is pleased to announce its entry on the South American market following the acquisition of Almeida Martins by its Industrial Equipment Group. For more than 20 years, this Brazilian company located in JundiaÃ, São Paulo has achieved great business success relying on high-end technological expertise in the development of packaging and material handling systems.
With this new acquisition, Premier Tech will be integrating the experience and know-how of over fifty people, thus bringing the total number of its team members in the Americas to 1 700. In line with Premier Tech's Industrial Equipment Group other global Business Units, Almeida Martins will now be conducting its material handling and rigid packaging activities under the name Premier Tech Chronos. This 20(th) acquisition for Premier Tech since the beginning of 2008 marks the accentuation of the company's market penetration in Latin America.
Strongly implanted in Europe and North America, Premier Tech thus lays the groundwork for its expansion into emerging countries. "This acquisition is fully aligned with Premier Tech's strategic Vision," said Jean Bélanger, President and Chief Operating Officer of Premier Tech.
