Precision Gasket Receives Two John Deere Awards as "Partner-Level Supplier" of the Year and for Cost Reductions
Minneapolis, Minnesota: Precision Gasket Company has earned two awards from its customer John Deere & Company's Intelligent Mobile Equipment Technology (IMET) Division. The first award was in recognition as a Partner-Level Supplier for 2008 and the second award for providing cost-reduction ideas of outstanding quality. The Partner-Level status is Deere & Company's highest supplier ratings.
Precision Gasket is one of just 400 John Deere suppliers receiving these awards out of several thousand. Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
In addition to the products supplied to John Deere, Precision Gasket Company supplies a wide customer base with strategic assemblies and die cut, molded and extruded parts that deliver heat, sound and vibration control, sealing, protection, mounting, and harsh environmental protection. Included are high temperature applications where assemblies must withstand temperatures up to 500°F and/or require very high bonding pressure sensitive adhesives.
