Precision ADM Quadruples Capacity with Major Additive Manufacturing Equipment Acquisition

Purchase of Two Additional EOS M 290 machines and One EOS M 400-4 Increases Metal 3D-Printing Manufacturing Capability and Capacity

ANAHEIM, CALIF. - FEBRUARY 06, 2018 - Precision ADM, Inc. (Precision ADM), a global engineering and additive manufacturing (AM) solutions provider, announced an investment in three metal additive manufacturing machines made by EOS, the world's leading technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers. The acquisition increases their AM capacity and capability, making it the largest direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) AM manufacturer in Canada with ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System certification.

The addition of two EOS M 290 machines and one EOS M 400-4 increases Precision ADM's throughput by adding dedicated Cobalt Chrome production equipment to complement existing dedicated Titanium equipment. Additionally, this acquisition gives Precision ADM's customers access to the entire EOS set of parameters and materials, opening the door for Precision ADM to begin additively manufacturing parts made from EOS Stainless Steel 17-4 PH IndustryLine, Aluminum, and Nickel Alloy IN625, along with existing capabilities in Titanium Ti64, Cobalt Chrome, Nickel Alloy IN718, and Maraging Steel MS1.

"More and more medical device companies are turning to additive manufacturing technology and Precision ADM makes experimentation and scaling production possible," said Laura Gilmour, global medical business manager at EOS. "We are excited to be the technology Precision ADM uses to serve the customers that value their devotion to quality"

"Precision ADM puts customer satisfaction and quality at the forefront of what they do and we're proud to partner with them to help meet industry demand," said Andy Snow, senior vice president of EOS North America. "There is a lot of momentum in the 3D printing industry in North America right now and there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon."

"This manufacturing capability and capacity expansion is an exciting step forward in Precision ADM's growth," said Precision ADM's CEO, Martin Petrak. "EOS has the most widely adopted and advanced technology in the industry and that partnership gives us the capability to meet our client's increasing additive manufacturing demands."
