Praxis Companies and Colonial Bronze Join the Saniguard® Alliance


A Total of Eight Leading Manufacturers Pledge to Use SANIGUARD Treated Products

Lakewood, NJ - January 21, 2009 - Component Hardware Group (CHG), a leading manufacturer of premium plumbing and hardware products for commercial, foodservice, institutional and healthcare applications, announced the addition of Praxis Companies, LLC and Colonial Bronze to the roster of manufacturers who have joined the SANIGUARD Alliance.

The SANIGUARD Alliance is a partnership of independent companies that are committed to the use of SANIGUARD, an inorganic, silver-based antimicrobial treatment, which is built in to their plumbing and hardware products for the healthcare market. SANIGUARD actively inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of common bacteria, molds and fungi that cause odors, staining and product deterioration. With normal care and cleaning, this antimicrobial product protection can be expected to last for the useful life of the product. SANIGUARD is designed to provide long-term protection to the product. It is not a substitute for good hygiene and cleaning practices and will not protect users or others from food-borne or disease-causing bacteria.

Operating five manufacturing facilities in four states, Praxis Companies, LLC, is a leading manufacturer in acrylic, polyester gel codes and engineered solid surface bath and shower modules for the residential, assisted living, designer showroom and commercial markets. Praxis Companies, LLC will use a SANIGUARD treatment on its Engineered Solid Surface products which can be specified and purchased through its Comfort Designs Bathware brand. Colonial Bronze, based in Torrington, Connecticut, manufactures both commercial and decorative brass cabinet and architectural hardware, appliance pulls, bath accessories and switchplates. "SANIGUARD's antimicrobial coatings will be used on our products, allowing us to stand out among the competition and offer a meaningful product difference to our customers," said Jamie Gregg of Colonial Bronze.
