Pratt & Whitney Wins US$180 Million Order for PW4000 Engines from Air Caraibes


SINGAPORE, Feb. 20 - SINGAPORE AIRSHOW - Air Caraibes has selected Pratt & Whitney PW4000-100" engines to power three new Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The engines will be backed by a 10-year comprehensive fleet management program provided by Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners. The deal, including engines and service, is valued at more than US$180 million. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

PW4000 engines with Advantage70 deliver improved performance for the A330 family of aircraft. The Advantage70 technology upgrade brings enhanced engine performance, lower fuel consumption and emissions, increased durability and reduced maintenance costs.

Air Caraibes serves the French Caribbean, Guadeloup and Martinique from Paris-Orly Airport with a fleet of A330 aircraft also powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. The airline offers connections throughout the French Caribbean with its fleet of modern regional aircraft.
