Polymera Names Latin American Representation to Promote Product Offerings

HEBRON, Ohio, June 23, 2011 -- Polymera, Inc. announced today that Plastec USA has been appointed as their Latin American representation for product offerings by the central Ohio-based producer of WPC (wood/natural fiber polymer composite) materials.
Plastec will promote the Merablend(TM) and Meraplast(TM) product lines for Polymera throughout Latin America. For more than 25 years, Plastec USA has represented industry leaders in the Latin American market, establishing customer relationships and providing technical sales assistance throughout the region.

Merablend(TM) is a wood/natural fiber polymer composite material for injection molding, extrusion and compression molding applications that targets processors interested in entering the WPC market without incurring significant capital expenses involved with upstream fiber/polymer processing, blending and material handling systems required for wood composites. Merablend(TM) offers multiple material options such as varying fiber loadings in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Polypropylene (PP) base polymers. Merablend(TM) WPC compounds can be used for both interior and exterior applications, as components of windows, doors, furniture and a variety of other markets.
Meraplast(TM) Technology Solutions provide consultation for companies looking to enter the wood/natural fiber polymer composite market.
