Polykote – Introduces a New Website, New Equipment, New Capabilities
December 15, 2019 -2019 has been a year of upgrades for Polykote! After 30+ years in business, we continue to improvise, adapt and overcome coating and laminating challenges – big and small. We’ve upgraded the lab, the equipment and launched a new website. Polykote.com is streamlined, easy to navigate and is mobile friendly. The addition of the 62” wide coater was the beginning of the planned expansion. “Polykote was at a point where we needed to take the next step and make investments to reach our strategic goals”, said John Guzzo, CEO of Polykote. “Adding the new coater, the re-moisturization unit and in-line slitting increases our capacity and capabilities to the point where we can pursue new, larger opportunities with stricter tolerances than we were able to in the past. We’ve added an internal resource to help promote Polykote and make sure the industry is aware of Polykote and what we do. We are also becoming more active in the industry and for the first time, joined AIMCAL which we feel is a perfect fit for Polykote”
Earlier this year, a re-moisturization unit was added to the 62” coater to help with curl properties. The most recent addition was the ability to slit in-line. This allows Polykote to eliminate the secondary slitting operation in over 50% of orders processed on the 62” coater. Label stock, laminates, tapes and tags can all be slit to width - fast and with a high level of accuracy.
Polykote formulates and produce custom-designed coated materials utilizing unique adhesives or coatings. We can use your materials only, ours or a combination to come up with a unique product design.
