CLEVELAND, OH—The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) will host its 22nd annual Automotive Parts Suppliers Conference (APSC) on April 28-29, 2015, at the Detroit Marriott Troy in Troy, MI.  Expected to attract more than 120 participants, the APSC is an ideal forum for chief executive officers, presidents, chief financial officers and other senior executives of companies serving the automotive market to network with fellow automotive suppliers and hear the latest industry trends.

Highlights of the conference include general sessions on the sales and production forecast and fostering innovation; educational sessions on contract terms and conditions, doing business in Mexico and the heavy truck industry; panel discussions on automotive purchasing and materials selection; roundtable lunch discussions on key industry issues; and high-level networking sessions.

Wes Smith, president of E&E Manufacturing Co., Plymouth, MI, attends the event each year. “At the Automotive Parts Suppliers Conference we learn things about our industry in terms of requirements, demand, legal and what our customers’ expectations are,” Smith said. “There is no other organization that offers this type of program.”

Immediately prior to the start of APSC on April 28, Women in Manufacturing (WiM) and the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF) will hold the fourth annual Women in Automotive Luncheon. The program includes a networking lunch, a forecast on the state of women in automotive, and a presentation and fireside chat with Christine Sitek, executive director, global quality operations, General Motors.  Sitek will discuss a range of topics, including how her work leading GM’s Global Manufacturing Quality operations around the world is a big opportunity on the heels of a challenging year, and how GM supports women and their career aspirations.

This popular event sells out each year, with approximately 150 people in attendance. More information about the Women in Automotive Luncheon is available at www.womeninmanufacturing.org/wia. Please contact Kristin Moore at 216-503-5700 or kmoore@womeninmfg.org with questions.
