Plastics Color Invests In Staff, Machinery and Infrastructure

Chicago, IL — Plastics Color Corporation, a global producer of colorants, compounds, additive masterbatches and custom polymers solutions, has made significant capital investments in line with a new strategic vision to guide the company into the next decade.

“Plastics Color has committed its resources to making forward planning investments in several facilities to increase production capabilities,” announced Joe Byrne, president of Plastics Color.

The investment program was implemented at the beginning of 2015 with a five-year plan for completion. The initial phase called for re-branding of Plastics Color products and services and currently Plastics Color is investing in infrastructure upgrades. Byrne, president of Plastics Color since March 2014, said the new investment program would include expenditures for more color formulators, augmenting its inside sales staff and key infrastructure development.

Plastics Color ordered capital expenditures for site development, building construction and renovation. In addition, the invested funds will be directed toward various lab enhancements. This includes PET blow molding capabilities for product development and color matching purposes.

“The primary benefit for our customers is that these investments increase our product development capabilities,” said Byrne. “This will allow Plastics Color Corporation to bring new products to the market more quickly.”
