Placon Corporation Introduces Its HomeFresh Rotisserie Chicken Container

MADISON, WIS. (January 22, 2007) - Placon Corporation introduces the latest addition to its HomeFresh family, the HomeFresh Rotisserie Chicken Container. The container's innovative, two-piece patented design, keeps chickens fresh, hot, and secure.

The tight-sealing lid makes the HomeFresh Rotisserie Chicken Container leak-resistant in the store's display case and on the journey home. Also, this easy-to-close container has two additional seals on its perimeter that help prevent the package from popping open.

Other consumer-friendly characteristics of the containers include a reservoir in the base that allows excess liquid and fat to settle at the bottom, away from the chicken. Plus, each container features a clear, anti-fog polypropylene lid, with vents, so moisture escapes efficiently allowing the chicken to be seen clearly.

Stacking strength is another hallmark of the HomeFresh Rotisserie Chicken Container that retailers will appreciate. The design of each container allows for its base to nest securely into the lid of the unit below so slipping won't occur.

"Every container we create should best serve both retailers' and consumers' needs and our HomeFresh Rotisserie Chicken Container is no exception," says Placon spokesperson Bob Saric, National Sales Manager. "Its superior leak resistance and stacking strength stems from four decades of innovative package design and development."

Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, Placon has been a leader in the thermoformed packaging industry for 40 years. The company designs and manufactures plastic thermoforms for packaging used by the food, retail, and medical industries.
