Pickering Interfaces to Showcase Latest Switching Modules at DesignCon 2015 in Santa Clara, CA

Clacton –Â Pickering Interfaces, a leading provider of signal switching and instrumentation solutions used in electronic test and simulation, will be showcasing their broad catalog of PXI and Ethernet LXI switching solutions at DesignCon, booth 529, on January 28–29 in Santa Clara, CA. These products include Pickering’s PXI Fault Insertion, Programmable Resistors, RF Matrices, Microwave Multiplexers and LXI ranges. Below are some of the products that will be showcased:
PXI Fault Insertion Switch (40-190B) these switches are available with 74, 64 or 32 channels and are primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive and avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers.
PXI Microwave Multiplexer (40-784A) these support single, dual, or triple SP4T or SP6T relays and are available in a variety of different frequency options for 50Ω, from 6GHz to 40GHz. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots and feature LED’s that indicate which path of the multiplexer is closed.
PXI Microwave Multiplexers (40-785B) – these are designed for switching 50Ω signals up to 40GHz. They are available as a single or dual 6-channel multiplexer with relays mounted on the front panel. The single slot version can support up to three supplied remotely mounted multiplexers.
All the PXI modules can be used in any PXI chassis, can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis and can also be used in Pickering’s LXI Modular chassis for users preferring control via an Ethernet port.
LXI Wideband Modular Matrix (65-110) offers an RF solution that can be easily reconfigured by the removal and insertion of sub-cards. This matrix provides routing for up to 16 of 104 X connections simultaneously to 16 measuring devices on the Y-axis with a usable BW of 500MHz. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, recently chose this matrix for the switching system to be deployed on its OASIS monitoring system.
