PeopleNet Selected by Greatwide Dedicated Transport, Nation's 4th Largest Refrigerated Fleet

Minneapolis, Minn. - March 26, 2007 - PeopleNet, North America's fastest-growing provider of intelligent onboard solutions and mobile communications, announced that Greatwide Dedicated Transport has selected PeopleNet for its specialized fleet operations. Greatwide Dedicated Transport is the 4th largest refrigerated dedicated fleet in the nation, operating more than 5,500 trucks and tractors, 4,800 trailers and 90 facilities in 48 states. Greatwide Dedicated Transport is a unit of Greatwide Logistics Services; total Greatwide Logistics Services revenues exceed $1 billion annually.

Greatwide Dedicated Transport is introducing PeopleNet into the dedicated fleets it operates for some of the largest companies in North America. Greatwide Dedicated Transport's customers include Tyson Foods, the world's largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork.

Greatwide is also testing PeopleNet's eDriver Logs® automated driver log solution with owner-operators at select locations. Owner-operators comprise the bulk of the company's fleet.

PeopleNet was first deployed in the owner-operator fleet Greatwide manages for Tyson Foods, which is a long-haul, over-the-road, irregular-route dedicated network. PeopleNet is now being deployed in Greatwide's dedicated SYSCO fleet as well, beginning with regional operations out of Front Royal, Va. SYSCO is a leading North American foodservice marketer and distributor.

"As part of our 'Driver Driven' initiatives of 2007, we seek to provide drivers with cutting edge tools to manage their businesses, which also run ours. PeopleNet has given us great service and support in getting an assessment of their products off the ground," said Mike Voelk, vice president, information technology, Greatwide Dedicated Transport.

At Front Royal and at seven other selected sites, Greatwide Dedicated has begun piloting PeopleNet's eDriver Logs solution.

"Greatwide is testing the automated driver log system to gauge its acceptance with the owner-operator at a variety of operating locations. We are also looking at the e-mail and engine statistics features of PeopleNet more closely due to their being so well received in early use at Front Royal," Voelk said.

"Automated driver logs have the potential to eliminate calculations, paperwork and headaches for both drivers and management," Voelk continued. "We see about 20 minutes a day in paperwork elimination and up to three hours of driving time savings by logging to the minute. We're trying to see how those savings stand up in different operating environments."

"We are very pleased with Greatwide's selection of PeopleNet," said Ron Konezny, chief operating officer for PeopleNet. "Greatwide is a forward-looking, growing company that requires the same quality of product and service from its suppliers that it provides for its customers. We're here to provide that quality, all day, every day, year in and year out."

Greatwide Logistics Services is one of the nation's largest providers of truckload transportation, warehouse and distribution services. The company's customers include Wal-Mart, Target, IBM, UPS, Dow, Ford Motor, GM and General Tire.
