People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.



The International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has named Joe McClary its new CEO.



Previously, Mr. McClary was the CEO of the Kentucky Association of Realtors, where he contributed greatly to writing and passing professional education legislation for the state’s real estate licensees. He has also served as the first executive director of the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC), an organization that develops distance learning standards. Mr. McClary has experience as an adult educator, college instructor, and high school teacher, and holds multiple graduate level degrees in education.



“The IACET Board of Directors has a strong desire to strengthen our commitment to our members, and to lead high quality continuing education in the global arena by setting the international standard for the corporate education and training,” said Dr. Sandra Williams, IACET chair. “Joe was selected to direct our organization forward both strategically and operationally due to his diverse leadership skill set, his footprint in international training, and his passion for educational excellence.”
