People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

The National Restaurant Association, an organizational member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced the appointment of Kenneth Walters as vice president of sales for strategic accounts. Mr. Walters will focus on strategies for diversifying the association's ServSafe food safety product portfolio, leveraging partner products, and expanding restaurant chain programs. The ServSafe program is accredited by ANSI's Conference for Food Protection (ANSI-CFP), an accreditation program for organizations involved in the certification of food protection managers.

Mr. Walters brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience to the National Restaurant Association. Previously, he was client services manager/food safety at Prometric, where he assisted in developing and implementing the ANSI-CFP standards for accreditation, including all aspects of ANSI audit compliance. Prior to that, he held key positions at Office Max, Galyans Sports & Outdoors, and Sportmart. Mr. Walters holds a BS from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business.
