HIMSS Analytics, a subsidiary of ANSI member the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), announced the appointment of Marc Holland as vice president, market research. He will be responsible for providing strategic direction for organizational services and managing the staff and activities related to the collection and reporting of data for the HIMSS Analytics Database.

Mr. Holland has over 35 years of experience as an information technology executive and industry analyst in the healthcare, banking, and government sectors. Before joining HIMSS, he served as the president of Systems Research Services, and in senior management positions with several healthcare and technology market research consulting firms. He previously spent 14 years at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City in a variety of information systems and operations analysis management positions.

Mr. Holland holds a M.S. in industrial engineering and operations research from New York University and a B.S. in management science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
