People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

The ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) has named Mark Johnson to be its president, effective April 1, 2009.
He succeeds John Nosse, who will serve as president emeritus of the organization before retiring in 2010.

In the past year, Mr. Johnson has worked with ICC-ES and its customers to improve the organization's business model. Before joining ICC-ES, he had spent most of his career with the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). Mr. Johnson has a BA in economics, a BS in electrical engineering and a master's degree in business administration.

Performing technical evaluations of building products, components, methods and materials, ICC-ES is a subsidiary of the International Code Council (ICC), which is a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
