PCR Tubes and Strips
Fullerton, CA – Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) microtubes and tube strips are now available on Terra's Laboratory-Equipment web site. Manufactured by MTC Bio, they are used for oil-free operations and help to reduce reaction time when used in thermocyclers; ultra-thin polypropylene tubes efficiently transfer heat to speed reactions.
The polypropylene is also completely transparent for full visibility of internal contents. The frosted area on each tube is a writable surface so users may add sample identifiers. Tubes are 0.2 mL, and come as individual tubes, or in strips of eight. Caps are included; order flat or domed shape to cover the tubes. When closed, lids prevent loss of samples and reagents through evaporation. Hinged caps are easy to open and close with one hand, and contain a shield to prevent exposure to contaminants on the lid surface.
Storage and transport box racks, with transparent lids and numbered cavities, are also available. Each polypropylene rack carries 96 0.2 ml tubes, as tubes, strips or plate. Box racks can be stored in temperatures down to -80°C (-112°F).
